About Ralph Hulett

For more than 30 years Ralph Hulett has been capturing the energy and excitement of live musical performances.

The son of Disney background/watercolor artist Ralph Hulett Sr. and artist Shirley Sullivan, Ralph began his career by interviewing such luminaries as Eric Burdon, Ed Cassidy (Spirit), Bo Diddley, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, Robbie Krieger (Doors), Kenny Loggins, Taj Mahal, Ray Manzarek (Doors), Muddy Waters and Frank Zappa.

However, it is from behind the camera that Ralph truly excels. Ralph's historically significant photographs have been used in numerous documentaries, including:

  • ABC News Downtown: Stevie Nicks
  • VH1 Behind the Music: Aerosmith
  • VH1 Behind the Music: Pat Benatar
  • VH1 Behind the Music: Lindsey Buckingham

Ralph has put out a memoir/biography on the 60s-70s music scene and Led Zeppelin entitled Whole Lotta Led: Our Flight with Led Zeppelin.  It was written with Jerry Prochnicky, co-author of Break on Through: The Life and Death of Jim Morrison.  Visit www.wholelottaledthebook.com to see sample Zeppelin stories and photos.  Ralph and Prochnicky have finished a Zeppelin photo book entitled Good Times Bad Times.
